The New Year has arrived and seems to be a good start for game lovers. Recently Pandemic released the demo of its upcoming Tolkien-inspired battleground game, Lord of the Rings: Conquest.

The demo was released for PlayStation. 1GB demo allows players to pick a side, hop online and fight in 16-person battles for the future of Middle-earth. At present, only Xbox Live Gold members can download the demo from the Xbox Live Marketplace.

The entire game will be available for PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS from January 13, 2009.
