SAW: The Game Trailer

The Saw horror movies that we all love is coming out as a thrilling video game. You want to feel what it’s like to be in one of the Jigsaw’s traps? Well here’s your chance! SAW is scheduled to come out on October 6, 2009 according to IGN. The game is set to launch on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles, with a downloadable version being made for the Microsoft Windows platform.

Saw will run on Unreal Engine 3. The game will be played entirely through a third persons perspective and will answer questions from the first two SAW movies. It has been revealed that the game will take place in an abandoned asylum with different Jigsaw traps scattered around the area. The story revolves around the Detective David Tapp’s kidnapping by the Jigsaw and is a hybrid of many elements that make for a good horror-survival, adventure and action games. In an interview, the game’s producer David Cohen stated that the game will allow players the same freedoms as the film’s “victims”. SAW is all about choices, and we feel it is essential to allow the players to have the ability to make those choices, be it running from your tormentor, standing and fighting, or turning the tables.
