Motion Sensitive games and content seem to be the call of the day, every new game is coming up with a motion sensitive take on it. The latest is Tony Hawk Series, this skating franchise has chose to reinvent itself with new motion controls.
Kotaku reports that the next Tony Hawk title for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, will use motion controls via a peripheral that sits on the floor. The game has three working titles, listed in alphabetical/awesomeness order: Adrenaline, Amplitude, and Huck Jam. Wait, “Huck Jam”? We assume that’s some kind of skateboarding term, and not a product made from crushing Huckleberry Hound into a fine paste.
Though this is all rumor until Activision gives official word, it does certainly match up with recent comments from the company about taking a year off to revitalize the franchise. It even makes sense of recent, officially-endorsed Xbox 360 peripherals that were announced by a third-party, including a skateboard model. What makes less sense is that the leak doesn’t mention the Wii, which already has the Balance Board, a peripheral that was regarded with interest by Hawk himself. If the rumor pans out, Activision, we promise to still look surprised.
