The world knows about Crysis and how it makes your PC, feel rather timid. This monster of a game was released last year, although the game was good, its resource hungry nature made it playable only on a super-high-end PC, which roughly translates into, you better be filthy rich or sell a kidney. The good news from the Crytek lab is that a console version of the same engine (Cry Engine 2) will be on display at next months Game Developers Conference, which further fuels the speculation that we would one day see a Console version of Crysis, considering the number of consoles sold in the market, this is a possibility that makes commercial sense. The question on everybody’s mind is that will Crysis look as good on the console as it did on the PC, and the answer is a practical “No”, but that does not rule out the possibility of a great visuals on the consoles. Lets wait and hope for a good response at GDC, and hope that the consoles can handle Crysis.

you never know…. just cause a game seems to be struggling on the pc with super high settings on doesnt mean the next gen consoles will struggle. infact, theyre super-computers themselves. take splinter cell double agent for instance. if you compare the graphics of the xbox360 version of the game and the pc version youll find the xbox version looks wayyy better ! i didnt believe it at first either until i saw screenshot comparisons.
you cant make out the difference between unreal tournament 3 on the pc and ps3, as another example and that was meant to be a high end pc game.
anyway, time will surely tell what crysis will be like on the consoles and i have high expectations.
