“The Soldier of the future is an F-16 on legs” says Jean-Louis DeGay in the Ghost Recon : Future Soldier trailer video. And it seems that Ubisoft seem to agree with that idea in their latest offering of Ghost Recon : Future Soldier. This storied squad-based shooter series returns with this installment, which will feature advanced prototype weapons and both a single-player campaign and as a multiplayer.
Set in the post-apocalyptic future, you play an advanced soldier outfitted with an array of hi-tech war gear that includes bio mech suits that help you cope with and blend into harsh terrain. In today’s announcement, Ubisoft emphasized technology repeatedly to help hype the game, saying that it would feature prototype weapons and that its single and multiplayer modes would be “state of the art.” Different from the Modern Warfare, success in the campaigns requires co-operation and support from the rest of the squad, whereas completing optional tasks allows you to upgrade both your gear and weapons.
To give you an idea what Ghost Recon is offering you…
No story details have been released so far about the game although there have been confirmations about the release dates for the PS3 and Xbox 360 version of the game. PSP and DS versions will follow soon after with PC gamers having to wait a while before they get their hands on this one. However it promises to be an exciting and much awaited addition to the GR series.
